Construction Segment E

Florida's Turnpike, from Griffin Road to Peters Road

Segment E is approximately two and half miles long and extends from Griffin Road to Peters Road on the Florida Turnpike. Ranger Construction began working in Segment E in March 2011. Highlights from Segment E construction include: widening the Turnpike northbound; widening the existing bridge over I-595 to six lanes in the northbound direction and five lanes on the southbound direction; realignment of the southbound turnpike lanes to the west to accommodate the new toll lanes direct connection to I-595; milling and resurfacing of turnpike lanes; and new asphalt pavement for additional lanes. The work will also include some utility relocation, new signaling, lighting and striping.

For emergencies throughout the I-595 corridor, please dial *FHP (*347).
